Hey everybody! Just wanted to pop on here and give everybody an update on life, love, and musical adventures.

I am nice and settled now back home in Regina, close to my mom, dad, brother, and boyfriend. I secured a job as a graphic designer at a funeral home (pretty cool, hey?) which allows me to work with design and music and people all the time (and my weekends are free… bonus). I’m also two classes into my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counselling at Briercrest, which is eye-opening, challenging, terrifying, and amazing. With all this stuff going on, you might be able to see why I haven’t been playing many shows as of late, but that doesn’t mean my guitar is sitting around collecting dust! Oh no, it doesn’t!

Back in April, I had the joy of doing a show with two lovely and talented ladies, Chelsea Amber (my former tour partner, and Juno nominee… amazing) and Dana Marie, at New Beginnings Lutheran Church in Kelowna. We had an amazing time, some laughs (including a hilarious broken string incident) and a fantastic opportunity to share about the work of Compassion Canada, which all three of us partner with as Ambassador Artists. I’ve also been participating as part of a praise team at New Beginnings Lutheran, and I love being a part of this vibrant and loving congregation.

Because of my work and study schedule, I won’t be doing any vacation Bible schools this summer, which is so strange! VBSs have become such a huge part of my summer life over the last ten years that it is so strange thinking I won’t be “Pharoah, Pharoah”ing or “With Jesus In My Boat”ing at all this summer. But do not fear! My summer will include a trip to lead worship music for the 2016 Lutheran Church-Canada National Youth Gathering in St. Catharines, Ontario. I am very excited about it! I will be rejoining forces with my former tour partner Kelti Malone as well as dear friend (and kickbutt drummer) Bill Wardekker. It’s going to be a fantastic time… no doubt about it.

That’s about it for now… I’m working on lining a few shows up for the fall in and around Regina, so keep your peepers peeled for news. In the meantime, God bless your summer, and have an awesome day!
